Two men have been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary at a pub in Tamworth.
It’s after officers were called to reports of an ongoing break-in at a business in Lichfield Street shortly before 10:30 last night (Monday 2 November).
It’s reported a group of men – armed with weapons – tried to enter the property, smashing in windows and doors before making off in a white van.
Detective Sergeant Kiley Rounds from force CID South said: “We believe this incident last night is connected to two others where businesses – including a restaurant in Church Street - have had their windows smashed.
“We’re eager for anyone with any information or footage to get in touch so as to help with our investigation.”
A 52-year-old from Tamworth and a 38-year-old from Birmingham have been arrested in connection with the three incidents. They remain in police custody at this time.
