A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent after a man suffered a fractured skull in an attack in Newcastle.
The victim, aged 18, was assaulted outside King Street Working Mens’ Club, at the corner of Derwant Place and King Street, Cross Heath at around 10pm on Friday (23 Oct).
He was treated in hospital for serious head injuries, including two skull fractures and a bleed on the brain.
He has since been discharged to receive further care at home.
The arrested man has been released on conditional bail while inquiries continue.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 352 of 24 October.
