A 33-year-old man who died in a road traffic collision in Stretton has been named as Thomas Godfrey.
Police were called at 12.30am yesterday morning (12 March) to a report of a road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a VW Golf on Derby Road.
Despite the efforts of emergency service staff, Thomas was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Specialist officers are supporting his family and have asked that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
Officers from Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances around the collision and are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone who may have dash-cam footage or witnesses that may have seen Thomas prior to the collision are asked to email [email protected], call 101 quoting incident number 14 of 12 March or direct message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter.
