A man has been arrested following a road traffic collision in Kidsgrove today (5 March).
An on-duty police community support officer was involved in a collision with a black Renault Megane at Tesco carpark on Liverpool Road just after 3pm.
Fortunately he did not suffer any serious injuries, and has been checked over by colleagues from the ambulance service.
A 54-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested on suspicion of disqualified driving, being unfit to drive through drink or drugs, driving without insurance and dangerous driving. He remains in custody.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with any information to come forward and call 101, quoting incident number 422 of 05 March.
