Man charged with robbery following incident in Hanley park

Two men have been arrested following a fire at a property in Stonnall, near Lichfield, in the early hours of this morning.
Stewart Lee Garner, aged 54, of no fixed address, is charged with robbery and assault causing grievous bodily harm and will appear before magistrates in Newcastle-under-Lyme this morning (June 24).
An elderly man who was injured in the park remains in hospital in a stable condition.
