A teenage boy has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon following an incident in Chesterton, Newcastle-under-Lyme on June 25.
The boy, aged 16, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been remanded in custody until a court appearance on Friday (July 3).
A man who was injured in the incident remains in intensive care in hospital.
