We are appealing for witnesses after a man was found with serious head injuries in Newcastle (June 24).
The man, who is in his fifties, was found at a property in Clayton Road after paramedics attended at around 1.20pm.
He is in a critical condition in hospital.
Detective Inspector Lucy Maskew, of Staffordshire Police, appealed for witnesses.
"We are keeping an open mind around the circumstances regarding this incident , It’s not yet understood if the man had been injured at the property or elsewhere before returning home.
"We are keen to trace witnesses who may have seen a disturbance outside Lloyds Bank, Newcastle, at approximately 4.30pm on the 22 June. "
Anyone with information is urged to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 referring to incident 328 of 24 June.
