A woman has died following a collision on the car park of the Ankerside Shopping Centre in Tamworth.
Just before 10.45am this morning (Monday 27 July) police were called to reports of an incident on the first floor of the car park. A black Suzuki Swift had collided with a wall.
Emergency services attended and the driver, a 72-year-old woman from Sutton Coldfield, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Her family will be offered support from specialist officers.
Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances. They are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact 101 or email [email protected], quoting incident 164 of 27 July.
