Appeal after stabbing in Stoke-on-Trent

Detectives are investigating after a man was stabbed on Victoria Street in Basford in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday 21 July).

Police were called at 4.05am to reports of a group of men chasing another man. Officers attended and located a 21-year-old man with a stab wound to his stomach.

The man was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital and has since been discharged.

Officers are interested to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who has CCTV footage.
