A 21-year-old man who died in a road traffic collision on the A5 Wall bypass on Saturday (4 December) has been named as Callan Neal.
Callan, from Walsall, was driving his white Renault Clio which collided with a HGV in a layby near to Wall Island, near Muckley Corner in Lichfield, at around 2am.
Specialist officers are supporting his family and have asked that their privacy is respected at this difficult time.
Officers from Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating the circumstances around the collision and are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
Anyone who may have dash-cam footage or witnesses that may have seen the white Renault Clio prior to the collision is asked to email [email protected], call 101 quoting incident number 55 of 4 January or direct message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter.
