A man is due to appear in court this week charged with causing the death of a man in Burton last year.
The collision, involving a vehicle and a pedestrian, happened on Horninglow Road in Burton-on-Trent on 22 January 2019 at around 10.30pm.
Colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service attended but sadly, 33-year-old Martin Povolny, from Burton-on-Trent, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hassan Hussain, 26, of Branston Road, Burton-on-Trent has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. He is due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on 6 January.
