A 20-year-old Burton man has been charged with drugs offences following a vehicle stop in the town on Friday (24 Jan).
Shabaz Mir, of Gordon Street, appeared before magistrates in Newcastle-under-Lyme on Monday (27 January) charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. He was also charged with possessing a knife blade in a public place and acquiring criminal property.
He has been remanded in custody.
A 17-year-old boy, also from Burton, was arrested on suspicion of possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
