A 20-year-old man from the West Midlands has been charged with drugs offences after a stop and search took place by officers in Tamworth.
Mohammad Attif Hassan, from Bromford Road, Birmingham, faces three counts of possession of a controlled drug (crack cocaine, heroin and cannabis/cannabis resin), having been detained on Thursday (13 February) in the Bancroft area. He’s been placed on conditional bail.
A 19-year-old man, from Birmingham, also arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of drugs has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
A 40-year-old woman, from Tamworth, was issued with a warning for possession of cannabis after a house search took place relating to the arrests.
Mobile phones, scales, cash and a selection of drugs were among items recovered by police.
