Detectives are investigating an assault which happened in Uttoxeter this evening (Friday) and are now appealing for information.
Police were called at 7.15pm to Stone Road to reports that a 24-year-old man had been stabbed. He suffered cuts as a result of the assault before the offender fled the scene.
Officers would like to reassure the public that they believe this to be an isolated incident and anyone with any information should message Staffordshire Police on Facebook or Twitter quoting incident number 731 of 7 February, call 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
UPDATE 10 FEB
The 24-year-old man has been discharged from hospital and detectives continue to carry out enquiries.
