We are now in a position to name the teenage man who was found dead in a lake in Longton.
17-year-old Jack Crooke was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were called to Longton Park, Longton shortly before 8:20am on Sunday 27 December.
DI Lucy Maskew said: “This is a tragic incident and we continue to work to understand the circumstances around his death, speaking with people in the area and assessing local CCTV.
“Jack is described as white, 6ft tall, slim with medium length, dark hair. He was wearing a black trench coat, skinny black jeans and tan boots on the night.
“Anyone who saw him or anything else they may feel be of relevance in the area of Carlisle Street and Queens Park Road between 10:15pm and midnight on Saturday 26 December is asked to get in touch.
