A 21-year-old man’s been charged in connection with a series of car key burglaries in Staffordshire.
It’s after vehicles were taken in Willowsmere Drive, Lichfield (15 September 2020), Brambling, Tamworth (9 November 2020), Bowling Green Avenue, Tamworth (26 November 2020) and Berryfields, Stonnall (5 November 2020) over the past few months.
Abu-Backar Haji Awes of Antony Road, Birmingham has been accused of four counts of burglary, two counts of criminal damage, three counts of theft of a motor vehicle as well as possession of a controlled Class B drug.
He has been remanded in custody following an appearance at North Staffordshire Magistrates on Friday 4 December.
Two other men – aged 19 and 22 and from Birmingham – have been released under investigation in connection with the same offences.
