A man has been charged following the death of a man after he was assaulted at HMPYOI Brinsford.
Abdi Rehman Esa, 20, of HMPYOI Brinsford, has been charged with manslaughter following an assault at the prison in Featherstone on Saturday 5 December.
The victim, a 26-year-old man, was taken to New Cross Hospital in Wolverhampton and then to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with head injuries but sadly died on Sunday 6 December.
Esa will appear before magistrates at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre this morning (16 December 2020).
