Detectives are investigating after a man was stabbed outside a service station in Stone.
Police were called to Newcastle Road at 1.20am on Saturday 1 August to reports of 45-year-old man with a single stab wound.
He was taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital for treatment and has since been discharged.
The suspect is described as white, mid 20s, athletic build and clean shaven with light coloured hair. He was wearing a yellow T-shirt and beige shorts.
He is believed to have left the scene in a black VW Bora and returned again around 20 mins later in a yellow or mustard coloured Seat Ibiza or a Renault Megane.
Officers are keen hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or saw the vehicles.
