Police are appealing for witnesses after a convenience store in Newcastle was reportedly set a light over the weekend.
Officers were called to Clayton Convenience store on Orwell Place by colleagues at Staffordshire Fire and Rescue service shortly after 10pm on Sunday 26 April to reports of a building on fire.
No one was injured.
The cause is currently being treated as arson.
An investigation is underway with enquiries – including a local CCTV search –taking place.
