Staffordshire Police were called to a report of a burglary in progress at an address on Walsall Road, Great Wyrley, at around 1.10am this morning (15 September).
Officers arrived and the suspects had made off in a vehicle, a white VW Golf, which then collided with a wall, near to the Orbital island on Walsall Road.
Four men were injured, two of them seriously, and taken to hospital for further treatment.
A 22-year-old man from Dudley, has been arrested on suspicion of burglary and aggravated vehicle taking. He remains in police custody at this time.
Enquiries are ongoing, and any witnesses, or anyone with any information is asked to contact 101, quoting incident number 0065 of 15 September.
The matter has been referred to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC).
