A man from Stoke-on-Trent has been charged with a public order offence in relation to an incident in Norton last week.
Andrew Loftus, aged 25, of Harold Street, Longton, has been charged with using threatening or abusive words or behaviour with intent to cause fear following the incident near Aldi on Thursday 3 October.
He was released on bail and will appear at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 5 November.
