Detectives investigating the unexplained death of a man in Stoke-on-Trent have made an arrest.
A man aged 41, from the Stoke-on-Trent area, was arrested last night (Oct 18) on suspicion of murder. He remains in custody.
Police are not yet naming the man in his 50s who was found at a property in Wigmore Place, Longton at around 5pm on October 17.
Detective Chief Inspector Jason Everett, of Staffordshire Police, said: “I want to reassure people we believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the local community.
“Our enquiries are continuing as we work to establish the circumstances around this man’s death. If anyone has any CCTV or dashcam footage, or other information, we’d greatly appreciate it if they got in touch.”
