Two brothers have been charged with an aggravated burglary which took place in Leek on 20 September.
Ryan Morse, aged 24, of Haregate Road, Leek, is charged with aggravated burglary with intent, namely entering a property as a trespasser with intent to steal in Ball Haye Road, Leek, while in possession of a machete.
He is also charged with possessing a machete in a public place in Leek on 20 September.
His older brother Grant Morse, aged 31, of West Parade, Fenton, is charged with aggravated burglary at the same date and property, namely entering as a trespasser to steal bank cards and £250 cash, while carrying a machete.
Grant Morse is also charged with two counts of fraud by false representation relating to the use of a stolen bank card to purchase cigarettes and alcohol in Leek on 20 September.
The Morse brothers have been remanded in custody following a preliminary hearing.
