Five arrested for Talke robbery

Five teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of robbery following an incident in Talke during the weekend.
Police were called to Hollins Gran at 12.40am on Sunday (24 November) to reports that a man had been assaulted by several people who attempted to steal his car keys.
The victim was delivering a takeaway to an address nearby when he was assaulted by five teenagers wearing hoods, scarves and balaclavas. He attempted to make his way back to his vehicle but was struck to the face with a weapon leaving him with facial wounds and other injuries.
A 14-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent, a 15-year-old from Talke and three 16-year-olds from Talke, Tamworth and Newcastle were arrested on suspicion of robbery and have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
