Detectives are investigating a fatal road traffic collision involving a pedestrian, a car and a lorry near Lichfield on Saturday morning (16 November).
The collision happened at approximately 12.25am on the A5 Wall to Muckley Corner (eastbound), and involved a 25-year-old man, a black Peugeot 207 and a HGV.
Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene and specialist officers are supporting his family
an investigation into the circumstances of the collision is now underway by officers from CID.
A 41-year-old man, from Walsall, has been arrested on suspicion of death by dangerous driving and a 37-year-old woman, also from Walsall, has been arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. Both have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage or may have seen anyone walking on the A5 Wall to Muckley Corner (eastbound) is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 19 of 16 November.
