Man who died in Wombourne named

A man who died on Stourbridge Road, Wombourne, yesterday (December 16) has been named.

Robert Keith White, aged 68, died whilst in his tent on the side of the road where he chose to live. Officers attended at 1.20pm but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

His family members are being supported and have asked for their privacy to be respected at this time.

Sergeant Jason Dorrington, of South Staffordshire neighbourhood policing team, said: “This man was known to the local community and we would like to assure members of the public that we do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death at this time.”
