Appeal for information following attempted burglary in Kidsgrove

We are appealing for information following a break-in at Kidsgrove Ski Centre, in the early hours of Saturday morning (7 July).

At around 1am, two unknown offenders entered the building on Bathpool Park, through a previously boarded up window. They searched the office and attempted to force open a safe, causing substantial damage. Fortunately they left the premises empty handed a short time later.

PC Dan Rowley said, "This is a volunteer run centre, providing activities for local people, and sadly they will now need to fund the repairs to the building.

"Any witnesses, or anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area, is asked to contact us as soon as possible by calling 101, and quoting incident number 244 of 7 July"

Alternatively, you can contact the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
