Proud of our people nominations - Week to Friday 30 September 2016

Each week we will publish details of those colleagues nominated for their excellent work and dedication to the communities of Staffordshire.

A real credit to the force

I just felt you needed to be made aware of the very good support I received from PC James McMillan and SC Frazer Jones during a Mental Health Act Assessment (MHAA) on Saturday night. I cannot thank the officers enough for their empathy, warmth and understanding towards a rather difficult individual. This enabled a potentially aggressive situation to be resolved at its lowest level. Great joint working with the individual, the family, ambulance service and myself. A real credit to the force. I know you often receive complaints but feel that good work should be complimented too.

Understanding and caring

PC Craig Carpenter came to see my daughter this afternoon regarding an assault/sexual assault that happened at school on Thursday 22 September. PC Carpenter was so kind to my daughter. She was very nervous and frightened. He made her feel calm and was very understanding. He explained everything to her in detail and in a caring way.

Helping to protect our vulnerable members

group of people with officer blueDavid Twist, your Crime Prevention Manager, recently came along to one of our conferences and gave a presentation on distraction burglary. I would like to pass on our thanks for his EXCELLENT presentation - it was tremendously well received and our delegates will be passing on his helpful information to the pensioners in their respective areas. Hopefully, another little step in helping protect our vulnerable members.
Many thanks indeed.

Great job, keep up the good work

Hi guys,

I just wanted to go on record as to saying your handling of the video that went "viral" on social media of the girl unfortunately being assaulted and the manner you are responding to the general public has been exemplary.

I had the misfortune of stumbling across the video as I went through my Facebook page and wasn't surprised to see so many people lose their inhibitions to retain control of their opinions.

I just sat down and thought to see if there had been any update on the progress and it is great to see how the press office are keeping the public informed despite the feedback coming through from a select few.
Just wanted to say great job and keep up the good work.
