Investigation launched after man stabbed in Tamworth

Detectives have launched an investigation after a man was stabbed in Tamworth.

Police were called at 5.05pm yesterday (12 August) to Birds Bush Road, Belgrave, near to the underpass.

A man, aged 42, was found at the scene with stab wounds to his arms. He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries where he remains in a stable condition.

At this time, no arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

Police are currently treating this as an isolated incident and there is not believed to be any threat to the wider community.
