Stoke-on-Trent murder victim named


Detectives investigating the murder of a woman in Stoke-on-Trent have named her as Jayde Hall, aged 26.

Jayde's body was found at an address in Cherryhill Avenue, Stoke-on-Trent, on the evening of Friday 24 May.

Her family, who are continuing to receive support from specially-trained officers, have said in a statement: "We just can't believe what's happened. Jayde's death has broken our hearts. We would like to thank friends and family for all their kind wishes at this terrible time. We are not sure how we will ever get over this, but we ask to be given the time and space to grieve in private."

Carl Scott, aged 46 and from Stoke-on-Trent, was charged with the murder of Jayde and was remanded in custody.
