Vacancy VN05/2019 - Vehicle Commissioning Technician Grade F, Salary Range £24,759 - £30,195 Location: JETS Trentham Lakes Closing Date 12.00pm on Friday 14th June 2019.

About the Opportunity

An exciting new role has arisen within the Joint Emergency Transport Services Team for a Vehicle Commissioning Technician.

The Vehicle Commissioning Team is responsible for carrying out the task of preparing the vehicles ready for use and for maintaining those aspects of the vehicle they have commissioned. They are also responsible for decommissioning the vehicles at the end of their service life ready for sale and for removing certain equipment prior to the vehicle being sent to an outside contractor. The team deal with a variety of vehicles, including motorcycles. Prior to use in an operational environment the team carry out final safety checks (PDI) and then allow the vehicle to be used for operational purposes.

Whilst the post holder will primarily be based at the Joint Emergency Transport Services, Trentham Lakes North, there will be occasional requirements to travel around the county. Therefore, the post holder must hold a full current driving licence and have access to their own transport that they are willing to use where no work transport is available.
