CCTV appeal following robbery in Stafford

Detectives from Staffordshire Police have released a picture of a man they would like to speak to after a woman's handbag was stolen in Stafford.

At around 3am on Sunday 24 February, a man followed the 50-year-old woman along Gaol Road, left at the roundabout onto Browning Street and then immediately right into Abbots Walk where a man snatched her handbag.

The offender than made off towards the roundabout on Browning Street, back on himself onto Marston Road and past the Four Crosses pub.

A small amount of cash was taken and the handbag was later found dumped between two bins on a car park near Shepherds Bush Street.

Anyone that may have seen anything suspicious or may recognise the man pictured is asked to email Howard.Davies@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk quoting incident number 132 of 24 February.
