COUNTY LINES DRUGS RAIDS IN STAFFORDSHIRE FEATURE ON CRIMEWATCH ROADSHOW

IsonInterview.jpg

Drugs raids, vehicle stops and an appeal for witnesses to a theft in Staffordshire are to feature on tomorrow's Crimewatch Roadshow (Mar 12).

The show is scheduled to go out live from Rugeley power station. The large, secure facility has been brought into temporary use to carry out essential police training - before planning is finalised for the site's long term redevelopment.

Part of the site is currently being used as a training facility for Staffordshire Police dog units and Tactical Support Teams (TST).

Live footage will show a search taking place and also the procedure when officers stop a vehicle and search for drugs.

Pre-recorded footage will show further vehicle stops and drug warrants carried out in the east of the county, as well as appeals for wanted men and witnesses to a theft in Longton.

The show broadcasts from 9.15am on BBC1.
