Six teenagers arrested in connection with robbery

Officers from Staffordshire Police executed a number of warrants in the Uttoxeter area this morning (10 January) resulting in the arrests of six teenagers following a street robbery on Church Street on 4 January.

The warrants took place on Hill Close, The Orchard Heath Road, Aston Lane, Meadow View and Lightfoot Road.

The boys, aged 13, 14, 16, 17 and two aged 15, and from the Uttoxeter area, were all arrested on suspicion of robbery.

All six remain in police custody and enquiries are on-going.

Sergeant Sally Bebbington from East Staffordshire Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "Today's arrests form part of an on-going strategy to tackle anti-social behaviour and related crimes in Uttoxeter and the surrounding areas. Offending of this nature will not be tolerated and we will take all necessary action to locate and arrest suspects."
