Appeal for witnesses following road traffic collision in Cannock

Officers from Staffordshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision in Cannock on Thursday (3 January).

The incident occurred at approximately 7pm on Lichfield Road (A5190) near to McDonalds, and involved a pedestrian and a white Citroën, possibly a C2.

The driver did stop and provided assistance to the pedestrian, but he did not offer contact details or report the matter to the police.

The 33-year-old pedestrian is currently undergoing treatment for a back injury at Royal Stoke University Hospital.

Officers are keen to get in touch with the Citroën driver, who is described as white and around 40 years old, or anyone else who may have witnessed the collision.
