Detectives investigating a spate of vehicles being stolen in Tamworth have arrested a 21-year-old man in connection with a number of offences.

The man, from Erdington, has been arrested on suspicion of robbery following a number of incidents where drivers have been forced from their vehicles.

The investigation continues and officers are continuing to urge the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour around high value, expensive vehicles to 101.

Chief Inspector Ash Farrington, Commander for Tamworth Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "We are focusing our patrols in the locations we believe are vulnerable and we have a dedicated team of detectives who are investigating these incidents.

"We're determined to prevent these crimes and would ask the public to call 101 if they witness any suspicious behaviour around high value, expensive vehicles.

"Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
