Man arrested after incident in Meir

Officers have arrested a man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with an incident in Meir this evening (8 November).

A 35-year-old man was found with a knife wound on Sandon Road at the junction of Waterhead Road at 5.50pm. He has been taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire by ambulance.

Following the incident, a 22-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent, was detained.

Witnesses are asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident 585 of 8 November.
