What to do if you've received a Notice of Intended Prosecution (NIP) or a Community Speed Watch letter.
Pay a fine online
To pay a fixed penalty fine online, go to the gov.uk website here.
Please ensure that you go directly to the official government website using this link.
There are no discounts applicable for fixed penalty fines and you should be careful to ensure that you only pay your fine via the official website.
You'll need the 16 digit reference number and offence code, which can be found on your conditional offer letter.
Once your payment has been accepted you'll receive a confirmation code, which you should note down on the back of the conditional offer letter.
You'll then need to send your driving licence and the conditional offer letter to the payment office in Loughborough for the penalty points to be added to your licence.
If the fixed penalty also carries penalty points, then you'll need to send your licence to the Fixed Penalty Office for endorsement.
If your do not have a UK driving licence, then you should retain your foreign driving licence and only send in a good quality colour photocopy of both sides of your licence.
The address of the Fixed Penalty Office is:
HMCTSPayment officePO Box 10066LoughboroughLE11 9HB
You may wish to retain photocopies of the completed notice and your licence for your records and you may wish to consider sending these via recorded delivery.
Please note: There are no discounts for fixed penalty offences and please be careful to only pay via the official gov.uk website.
