The Overseas Visitors Registration Office at Staffordshire Police HQ in Stafford is the place to visit in Staffordshire if you live in Staffordshire and have been required to register with the police, an essential part of many foreign nationals’ visa conditions.

You can begin your registration using our online system.

Please go to our portal to enter your details and set up one account per person.

You will have 20 minutes to create your account and input your details online so please have all personal documents to hand. Once completed you'll need to activate your account within one hour for which you will receive an email.

You will then be invited to book an appointment at the Overseas Visitors Registration Office.

Appointments are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We can make an appointment on a different day in exceptional circumstances; please contact us to request a different day.

During September and October all appointments for students are held at the universities.

What to bring to your appointment

  • Passport
  • Biometric Residence Permit (also known as BRP)
  • Letter from the Home Office (If BRP applied in the UK)
  • Proof of work or study (confirmation letter from university/CAS or employment contract)
  • Proof of address in the Staffordshire area, for example a tenancy agreement or letter of confirmation from university (including room number)
  • £34 in exact cash
