Coronavirus rules in Wales
From Friday 4 December:
- Pubs, restaurants and cafes are not able to serve alcohol on their premises, and they must close by 6pm. However, they can offer a takeaway service after 6pm and, if they have an off-licence, sell takeaway alcohol until 10pm.
- Indoor entertainment and visitor attractions, such as cinemas, museums and galleries, will also have to shut.
The Welsh government will review these restrictions by 17 December.
Please note that there will be variations of these rules from 23 December to 27 December.
You must wear a face covering on public transport, in public shops and other public indoor spaces if you are over the age of 11. Some exemptions apply, including for those who cannot wear face coverings for health or medical reasons.
Reporting a violation of the rules
Please make sure you understand what is and is not allowed before you get in touch with us. We particularly want you to tell us about large gatherings of people obviously from many different households (remembering that two extended households could form quite a large group).
