Located in the north-eastern periphery of the city, Brindley Ford lies on the A527 Biddulph Road and is contained within the Chell and Packmoor ward. Covering Oxford, Brindley Ford and Hammersley Green, it is typified by large areas of farming land and privately-owned semi-detached housing. The neighbourhood zone is one of the smallest in the city in terms of population and household numbers.

The Packmoor and Turnhurst neighbourhood is largely residential in nature and home to the Westcliffe Hospital. On the northern edge of the city, the area is located away from major centres of employment and has seen large developments of executive housing.
