Norton is a semi rural-area, set in an enviable position between the city and the vast countryside that graces the Staffordshire Moorlands. It has a diverse population, which encompasses a strong neighbourhood spirit. The neighbourhood area lies predominantly to the south of Ford Green Road, north of the A53 Leek New Road and largely west of Norton Lane. Part of the area is typified by privately owned semi-detached housing with distinct areas of terraced and detached properties. There is also a large stock of local authority owned housing stock in the Norton and Ball Green area.
