Burslem

Burslem Neighbourhood Policing Unit (NPU) covers the 'mother town' of Stoke-on-Trent, Burslem, along with several other residential areas.

With a history steeped in the pottery industry, the area has now largely given way to residential communities, retail and entertainment.

The NPU is also the home of Stoke-on-Trent College and part of the Staffordshire University campus.

The area is culturally diverse and offers easy accessto the city centre of Hanley.
Smaller neighbourhood management areas cover Birches Head, Burslem, Sneyd Green, Etruria, Shelton, Forest Park, Longport, Middleport and Northwood. The NPU works closely with the local authority Stoke-on-Trent City Council.
