Police are concerned about the potential dangers to drug users who may have been offered stolen prescription drugs taken from a Stoke-on-Trent pharmacy on Friday night.
At around 8.15 pm on Friday 9 December a window was broken at the chemist in Wilson Road, Hanford and a number of prescribed drugs were stolen. Those responsible for the break-in were unable to enter the premises but it’s believed they were able to reach a number of packets of drugs.
Staff at the pharmacy are concerned that if the drugs are taken by someone who doesn’t need them or understand the potential effects they could be putting their health or lives in danger.
The drugs stolen include medication for heart conditions, epilepsy, diabetes and a number of other illnesses. Anyone who is offered drugs for sale or has information about the burglary is urged to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 757 of the 9th December.
