Tamworth Borough Local Policing Team covers an urban, geographically compact area of about 12 square miles and is situated in the extreme south east of Staffordshire. Tamworth is one of two wholly urban authorities in the county and is the second largest Staffordshire town after Stoke-on-Trent. The town's population is around 75,000.
