Inspector Clare Riley is looking forward to settling into her new role in the Staffordshire Moorlands Local Policing Team (LPT).
Prior to her leave Clare worked on the Communities First programme for several months.
This programme saw the restructuring of the force to make it more affordable while continuing to deliver a high quality service to the public.
Before this Clare was the inspector in charge of response policing in the south of the county.
Her new role gives her responsibility for policing in Leek, Biddulph, Cheadle and the surrounding areas.
Clare said: "I am really looking forward to working with partners here, including community safety colleagues at the district council and volunteer groups. As a local resident I know first-hand that the Moorlands has a strong sense of community spirit.
"My predecessors have carried out a lot of good work to drive down crime and anti-social behaviour in the Leek, Biddulph and Cheadle areas. I aim to continue this work and I am dedicated to addressing the issues that affect local communities.
"As someone who has lived locally for many years, I am passionate about the area and want to share this enthusiasm with my colleagues and communities alike."
Clare (31) joined Staffordshire Police in 1996 as a cadet and has worked in various uniformed roles across Cannock Chase and Stoke-on-Trent.
She lives in Rudyard with her partner, two sons and a daughter, and enjoys spending time with her family in the great outdoors. Clare recently returned to work from maternity leave.
