Cheadle town
The area of Cheadle Town encompasses the residential area of Hammersley Hayes estate. It has a strong community spirit and has benefited from significant investment recently. There are large playing fields at Churchill Road and further leisure facilities are planned. The west of Cheadle benefits from a healthy mix of town centre businesses, industrial and residential areas. There is a large public recreation ground offering bowling, a skate ramp, tennis and children's play area coupled with the South Moorlands Leisure Centre. Educationally, the area is covered by two primary and two high schools.
