South Staffordshire Local Policing Team covers a mix of urban and rural land in south Staffordshire, which borders both the West Midlands conurbation to the south, the city of Wolverhampton and the Black Country to the east and neighbouring Shropshire to the west.
It is made up of a large number of well populated villages including Cheslyn Hay, Essington, Featherstone, Great Wyrley, Huntington and Penkridge. Although predominantly rural in make up, the area does however boast the county's only airport, Wolverhampton Business Airport at Bobbington, and the Kinver Edge beauty spot. Local police work very closely with colleagues from the local authority, South Staffordshire District Council (Opens in new window).
