Facts and figures

Every day Crimestoppers receives phone calls giving information that can help police catch criminals and detect crimes.

Without these calls, the Crimestoppers charity could not function. It wants to hear from anyone with information about crimes - from vehicle theft to drug dealing and from criminal damage to rape.

Between April 2007 - January 2008 Staffordshire Crimestoppers received 2,300 calls that they could take action on. Out of those, 132 have resulted in someone being arrested and charged.

A total of £18,810 worth of property has been recovered along with £113,456 worth of controlled drugs.

Without calls from the public none of this is possible. The drugs seized all represent drugs taken out of communities and every criminal brought to justice makes Staffordshire a safer and pleasanter place to live and work.
