Crimestoppers
Members of the public can ring with information about crime and criminals and are guaranteed anonymity. Calls are not traced or recorded and callers will not have to give a statement or go to court.
The work of Staffordshire Crimestoppers is overseen by a board of volunteers which works towards promoting and managing the crimeline.
Crimestoppers. Call anonymously with information about crime on 0800 555 111
It is responsible for setting reward levels, fundraising and promoting the service through events and marketing.
Its membership is intended to represent the diverse nature of the communities within its area to provide insight into areas such as youth culture, education, media and business.
The board, in conjunction with the police, identifies local priorities and undertakes activities to tackle crime issues such as drugs supply, vehicle crime, burglary and major crime investigations.
Each board has a chairman, vice chairman, treasurer and secretary. The Staffordshire board meets once every three months and oversees the activity of its working groups - marketing and operations, external communications and fundraising which meet frequently to undertake project work.
